Ordering

How do I place an order?

Message SupaSoko on WhatsApp. We'll ask you a few quick questions — how many adults and children in your household, and how long you want the basket to last. We'll then send you 2–3 basket options sized for your family. Reply with your choice and we'll send an M-Pesa payment request.

Do I need to create an account or download an app?

No. Everything happens on WhatsApp. No account creation, no app download, no passwords. Just message us.

Can I customise what's in my basket?

Our baskets are curated to give you the best wholesale value. We don't offer fully custom baskets at this stage, but you can choose from our Essentials, Standard, or Full basket tiers, and add the hygiene bundle if you'd like.

Can I set up a recurring weekly or monthly order?

Yes — many of our customers order on a regular schedule. Just let us know when you place your first order and we'll remind you before each repeat order.

What's the cut-off time for orders?

Orders placed before 9am are typically packed and dispatched the same day. Orders after 9am are scheduled for the following morning delivery window.

Pricing & Payment

Why are your prices lower than supermarkets?

We buy in bulk directly from wholesale markets and suppliers, bypassing retail markups. Because we aggregate orders from hundreds of households, we can negotiate wholesale prices and pass the savings directly to you.

How do I pay?

We send an M-Pesa STK push directly to your phone. You'll get a prompt on your phone to enter your M-Pesa PIN to confirm payment. We don't accept cash on delivery.

Are there any delivery fees?

Delivery is included in the basket price for addresses within our current delivery zones. We'll confirm whether your address is covered when you first message us.

What are the basket prices?

Our weekly baskets start from KES 2,099 for Essentials, KES 2,499 for Standard, and KES 2,999 for Full. All baskets include boxed milk (12 pcs × 500 ml). Monthly baskets are also available. The hygiene bundle add-on is KES 480.

Delivery

Which areas do you deliver to?

We currently deliver to estates in Kasarani, Langata, and Embakasi. We're expanding to more zones — message us on WhatsApp to check if your area is covered.

How long does delivery take?

Same-day delivery for orders placed before 9am, typically arriving between 10am and 2pm. We'll send you a WhatsApp message when your rider is on the way.

What if I'm not home when the rider arrives?

Your rider will message you on WhatsApp before arriving. If you're not home, we'll arrange a redelivery time that works for you — usually the same day or the next morning.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Yes. We deliver Monday through Saturday. Sunday delivery is not currently available.

Baskets & Products

What's included in the baskets?

All baskets include the core food staples: maize flour (unga), sugar, rice, and cooking oil. Quantities vary by tier (Essentials, Standard, Full) and by whether you order weekly or monthly. You can view exact quantities on our baskets page.

What's in the hygiene bundle?

The hygiene bundle (KES 480) includes bar soap, washing detergent, dishwashing liquid, and toilet paper. It can be added to any basket.

Where do you source your products?

We source directly from Nairobi's wholesale markets and vetted local suppliers. All products are checked for quality and correct packaging before being included in baskets.

Are the products branded or generic?

We stock commonly trusted brands available at Nairobi wholesale markets — the same brands you'd find at a market or duka, not generic substitutes.

What if there's a problem with my order?

Message us on WhatsApp immediately. If a product is missing, incorrect, or damaged, we'll resolve it — either by delivering the correct item or issuing a credit toward your next order.

How do I contact SupaSoko?

WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us. You can also email hello@supasoko.africa. We respond to all messages within a few hours during business hours (Mon–Sat, 7am–8pm).

Can I cancel or change an order after placing it?

You can cancel or change an order up until it's been packed (usually within 1 hour of placing). Message us on WhatsApp as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate the change.
